You can send and receive messages directly through the database messaging system.
Under the heading “Main”, find “Messages” and click on one of the following:
Inbox – Messages that have been sent to you will appear here.
- The leftmost icon of an envelope will appear to be closed if you have not read the message, or open if the message has been read.
- Click on the name of sender in the “From” field to open the message.
- You can click on Reply in an open message to reply.
- You also can Compose a New message or navigate to the Outbox to see messages you have sent. In composing a new message you can choose the receiver to be a System Administrator, meaning that the Barnstable County I/A Tracking Database will receive the message, or you can send a message to another user of your company.
- You can look at Drafts if you have saved of any messages that were saved but not sent.
Outbox – Your outbox will display messages you have sent.
- You can Compose a New message. In composing a new message you can choose the receiver to be a System Administrator, meaning that the Barnstable County I/A Tracking Database will receive the message, or you can send a message to another user of your company.
- You can navigate to your Inbox to look at messages that you have received.
- You can look at Drafts if you have saved any messages that were saved but not sent.
Drafts – Any messages that have been saved as a draft can be viewed here.
- While composing a new message, you must have clicked Save Draft to see the draft again. You will receive a message that your draft was saved.
- When you open a draft, you can make edits and then click Send when ready.
When you have an unread message in your Inbox, a closed envelope icon will appear on your Home screen.
